News: Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out’ Crosses $100M Mark at U.S. Box Office.

Get Out, a recently released horror/mystery film about racism has reportedly added $21.1 million last weekend; grossing a total sum of $111,051,845, off a $4.5 million budget.

Written and directed by comedian Jordan Peele (in his directorial debut), Get Out stars British actor Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitfield and Catherine Keener. Get Out‘s cast also includes Betty Gabriel, Caleb L. Jones, Lil Rel Howey and Keith Stanfield.

The film started generating a lot of buzz right from the time of its official release by Universal Pictures on February 24, 2017; scoring 99% on Rotten Tomatoes and inspiring the #GetOutChallenge on social media. The movie had reportedly been in production for almost a decade and it is currently the number 3 movie on U.S. Box Office, after Kong: Skull Island starring Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson, which earned a remarkable $61 million in its debut weekend and Logan, in which, X-Men star Hugh Jackman reprises his Wolverine role.

However, according to Deadline HollywoodGet Out is the fastest Blumhouse production to cross the $100 million mark.
